Emotional Temperance and Sensorial Tolerance

Speaking as a crude empiricist, slow, attentive movement does appear to help with 'emotional regulation.' But 'regulation' feels very 20th century/hierarchical, as though consciousness could order us to just calm down. Science tells us that consciousness is too late to the party, that our systems are not top-down, and that the nervous system is only one part of the organismic integration that gives us emotional temperance. So, yes, anecdotally, the Feldenkrais wisdom about moving does seem to seep into emotional wisdom.
