Tempering: The Reorganization After
After a lesson where you've played with different processing modes, the heightened awareness fades. And that's fine. Senses settle. You can still feel cleaner and roomier inside. You gave your sensorial habits a break, and even if they come back full force (and why shouldn't they if you want them?), there's a sort of spritely feeling, as though coming back from a good vacation. You will have briefly pulled some of your undervalued sensorial options up from the opaque and into the middle muddle, and they'll probably stay more present for a long time. And it’s even possible that you will – if you want to – use your brain in a wider repertoire, just because you find you like it.
