Nostril Dominance as an Interoceptive Example

Nostril dominance is my favorite interoceptive message-packet because most people are completely oblivious to it (it lives in the opaque). Feeling nostril dominance once you know it is a thing is really easy AND there is actually a payoff to learning how to influence it. It is more than an interoceptive parlor trick. Once you become conscious and appreciative of your influence over nostril dominance, it isn't as though I want you to be constantly paying attention to which nostril you are using. What I believe is that now your system will see affordances it hadn't been very hep to before. This probably needs to be brought right up to the forefront of your consciousness, but thereafter can happen in that liminal "aware" part, as a glimpse or as something lost again in the opaque part of you but nevertheless, now, something your system can play with more deftly.
