The Actual Peripheral Gaze Separate from the Peripheral Mood

You can imagine yourself in a peripheral gaze just by closing your eyes and constructing a soothing natural scene with lots of fractals—woodsy or tangled herbs or oceanic. Soften your eyes. Take it in—at least in your imagination. I'm curious to explore whether this is still possible for a person living with dementia, at least over some phases of dementia: lose the peripheral vision, but keep the peripheral mood. When a person living with dementia wants to diminish their peripheral input or simply cannot process the peripheral data any more, could they still access the peripheral moodscape? Could this be helpful?
