You can't fix a complex adaptive system. I doubt you can even teach it. But you can wake it up and get it to teach itself. Essentially, you need to give it a poke and say 'what part of "adaptive" stopped making sense to you?' Not 'I want to restore you to how you were before the broken leg' but 'great, you responded to the crisis—but then you got stuck. Now we are in the post-crisis world. Wake up. Pay attention. Do that adapting thing.'
