The Texture of Water

I learned this kayaking. If you swim or do any paddle sports, you know this. Or diving! Compare the texture of the water when you do a belly flop versus the water's texture when you enter in the smooth slice of a beautiful dive... The whole secret to moving through (and 'from') water is the speed and angle of your stroke. And if you get it right, say as a paddler, what you want is for your paddle to hit 'solid water' and push off of it as though pushing off a rock. But you aren't so much 'hitting' the solid water as you are simultaneously creating the solid water and then pushing off. When you are efficient with your blade angle, timing and power, you Do. Not. Move. The. Water. You solidify it. ....Think about this. It is a real brain cluck, and Feldenkraisers love that. Also, you'll be better at water sports.
