Threshold and Reciprocity

We could have designed our berry-picking navigation system as a lurker-friendly, containerless, relentlessly asymmetric space. But we didn't. You have to cross a threshold to enter. Reading requires reciprocity, whether through comments or coinage. (We don't care, at this point, about the money — but we do care about you owning your presence here.) And the contents stay put, more or less. They can evolve, but slowly, and always on this side of the threshold.
