Awaken Your Inner Systems Thinking
We Feldenkrais teachers insist that there isn't a right way and a wrong way. And, sure, sometimes we're bullshitting you. But really, profoundly, we are telling an important truth — because the 'right way' is contextual. I had a great stride in my youth, and then my hip joints started to complain and I shifted my gait so that it was much more ankle-y and much less pelvis-y. Another great walk! A different self-expression. No joint pain. So there really really really isn't a right way to walk. But there is a learning-ish way to pay attention to your walk. And that's what I think the Feldenkrais zone is — I usually say 'awakening your inner teacher' but what I really mean is 'awakening your inner systems thinker.' Your inner feedback looper. Your influencer. Your chance to bring awareness to the constant process of sensorial reconciliation and prediction.
